Replay privacy guide
Share the minimum replay that answers the question.
A replay can make the development of a text easier to understand, but deleted wording may be more sensitive than the final post. Decide what the reader needs before turning process history into a public artifact.

Inspect what a reader will see, including deleted passages, corrections, and pauses represented by the replay.
Choose the smallest audience
Public, privacy-safe, and private review solve different needs and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Keep the boundary visible
A replay shows activity in one editor; it does not reveal identity, another device, or every outside influence.
Identify the review purpose
Ask whether the reader needs the full development, only a session summary, or confirmation from a trusted private reviewer. Public curiosity is not by itself a reason to expose deleted language or confidential research.
For a routine social post, a public receipt without full deleted text may provide enough context. For an editorial dispute, a private replay can be shared with a limited reviewer under an agreed retention period.
Inspect sensitive content
Look for personal names, contact details, unpublished claims, account information, confidential sources, client material, and wording that was removed precisely because it should not be public. Do not assume deletion from the final text removes it from every replay mode.
Keep drafts containing high-risk information outside a public recorded session. If sensitive material is already present, choose a restricted visibility or delete the replay according to the product's controls rather than relying on obscurity.
Share with context and an end date
Explain what the replay covers, which final version it supports, and what was done elsewhere. State whether the link is public, private, or time-limited, and who is expected to retain a copy.
Review the receipt after publication. If the replay is revoked, deleted, or becomes unavailable, the public state should make that change understandable instead of continuing to imply that the same evidence remains accessible.
