The distinction
Detection asks what the text resembles. Verification records what happened.
A final-text detector analyzes linguistic patterns after writing is complete. It produces an estimate, but it did not observe the document being written.
Writing process verification starts earlier. It records evidence while the text changes, then checks that the recorded changes reconstruct the sealed result. The claim is more direct and deliberately narrower.
How it works

Write in a controlled editor
HumanTyped records the accepted changes made during one writing session. Paste and drop are rejected inside the editor.

Reconstruct on the server
When the session is sealed, the server replays the ordered changes from an empty document and checks the resulting text.

Publish a signed receipt
A shareable receipt presents the sealed text, session evidence, score, signature, and the limits of the claim.

The honest boundary
A receipt is evidence, not certainty.
HumanTyped verifies that the sealed text can be reconstructed from the ordered changes accepted during the recorded session. It cannot see another device, establish who used the keyboard, or know what influenced the writer.
That limit appears with the evidence because trustworthy verification should make its blind spots as visible as its signals.
